Impact Generator
The second component of the SWIPS™ is the Impact Generator (patented) that generates the Surface Wave. The unit is wireless yet connected to the User Interface. It is self powered for a full day of operation in the field. It is portable, safe, self-calibrating, effective, robust, user-friendly and water-resistant. An LCD touch screen makes fine adjustments depending on the extent of the Surface Wave you need. It has antiglare properties so it can be used in different lighting conditions. The Impact Generator can also be remotely controlled. Its versatile attachment base means it can be used on any type of solid surface, i.e. the wall of a mine or on any type of ground. Like the Wireless Sensors, the Impact Generator is Geo-referenced through embedded Inertial Positioning Technologies.
